About cfma
The Certified Facilitative Mediators Association (CFMA) is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in Billings MT in 2023. CFMA believes that facilitative mediation is one of the most empowering ways to solve a wide variety of interpersonal and organizational problems. We will work tirelessly to provide easy access to mediator training and to promote alternative dispute resolution in communities across Montana. Serving members throughout Montana, CFMA promises to certify only the highest quality mediators, bound by a code of professional standards and practice and held accountable for their work.

Mediation has the power to preserve important relationships in business or in families by offering a safe environment for parties to express their needs and interests, discuss options and reach a mutually agreeable resolution.
CFMA will tirelessly promote the benefits of mediation to individuals and communities across the state by:
- Maintaining a comprehensive directory of mediation professionals practicing in Montana
- Educating the public about the benefits of mediation via local event programming and education campaigns
- Advocating to community organizations and governmental agencies about the value of mediation as a problem-solving tool
- Promoting low barrier and equal access opportunities to engage with the mediation process or learn how to become a mediator
